Terms of Service
Effective February 23, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of UnWeb (“Service”), operated by MBSoft Systems LLC (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), a Colorado limited liability company.
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years of age to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement. If you are under 18, you represent that you have your parent’s or legal guardian’s permission to use the Service.
2. Description of Service
UnWeb is an HTML-to-Markdown conversion service that provides:
- Web-based converter for pasting, uploading, or fetching HTML content
- REST API for programmatic access to conversion features
- Web crawler for converting multi-page websites to Markdown (paid plans)
- Browser extensions for Chrome and Firefox
- Command-line interface (CLI) for local usage
The Service converts HTML content to clean CommonMark Markdown, with automatic main content extraction from full webpages.
3. Accounts and Registration
3.1 Account Creation
To access certain features, you must create an account by providing accurate and complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
3.2 API Keys
The Service provides API keys for programmatic access. You are solely responsible for all activity under your API keys. You must not share, publish, or embed API keys in client-side code or public repositories.
3.3 Account Security
You must notify us immediately at support@mbsoftsystems.com if you suspect unauthorized access to your account or API keys. We are not liable for any loss resulting from unauthorized use of your credentials.
4. Subscription Plans and Pricing
4.1 Plans
The Service offers the following tiers:
| Plan | Monthly Credits | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Free | 500 | $0/month |
| Starter | 2,000 | $12/month |
| Pro | 15,000 | $39/month |
| Scale | 60,000 | $99/month |
4.2 Billing
Paid subscriptions are billed monthly through our payment providers (LemonSqueezy and/or Stripe). By subscribing to a paid plan, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis.
4.3 Quota Enforcement
Each plan includes a monthly credit allowance. Operations consume credits (1 credit for paste/upload/URL conversions, 2 credits per crawl page). Paid plans support overage billing; Free plan requests are rejected when credits are exhausted.
4.4 Price Changes
We reserve the right to modify pricing with at least 30 days’ notice. Price changes will take effect at the start of your next billing cycle following the notice period.
4.5 Refunds
We do not generally offer refunds for partial months of service. If you cancel your subscription, you will retain access to your paid plan features until the end of your current billing period.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Abuse the Service by circumventing rate limits, quota enforcement, or creating multiple free accounts to avoid paying for usage.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service.
- Use the Service for illegal purposes, including processing content that violates applicable laws.
- Transmit malicious content, including HTML designed to exploit vulnerabilities in the conversion pipeline.
- Overload the Service through excessive automated requests beyond your plan’s quota or through denial-of-service attacks.
- Resell or redistribute the Service without our prior written consent.
- Scrape or crawl websites in violation of those websites’ terms of service or robots.txt directives using our crawler feature.
- Use the Service to infringe on the intellectual property rights of others.
6. Intellectual Property
6.1 Our Intellectual Property
The Service, including its design, code, algorithms, and documentation, is owned by MBSoft Systems LLC and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks, logos, or branding.
6.2 Your Content
You retain all rights to the HTML content you submit and the Markdown output you receive. We do not claim ownership of your content. We do not store your submitted HTML or generated Markdown beyond the duration needed to process and return the conversion result, except for usage metadata (timestamps, content size, conversion type) retained for billing and analytics purposes.
6.3 Feedback
Any feedback, suggestions, or ideas you provide about the Service may be used by us without obligation or compensation to you.
7. Crawler Feature
7.1 Responsible Crawling
The web crawler feature (available on paid plans) must be used responsibly. You must:
- Ensure you have the right to crawl the target website
- Respect robots.txt directives and website terms of service
- Not use the crawler to harvest personal data or copyrighted content in violation of law
7.2 Crawl Limitations
Crawl jobs are subject to path-bounding restrictions and rate limits. We reserve the right to terminate crawl jobs that place excessive load on target websites or our infrastructure.
8. API Usage
8.1 Rate Limits
API access is subject to your plan’s monthly conversion quota. Additional rate limits may be imposed to ensure fair usage and service stability.
8.2 API Changes
We may update or modify the API with reasonable notice. We will make commercially reasonable efforts to maintain backward compatibility, but cannot guarantee that API changes will not require modifications to your integration.
9. Privacy
Your use of the Service is subject to our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.
10. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
10.2 Conversion Accuracy
We do not guarantee that HTML-to-Markdown conversions will be perfectly accurate for all input. Complex or non-standard HTML may produce imperfect output. You are responsible for reviewing conversion results before use.
10.3 Availability
We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation of the Service. We may perform maintenance, updates, or experience outages that temporarily affect availability.
11. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL MBSOFT SYSTEMS LLC, ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUE, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING FROM:
- YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE;
- ANY UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS TO OR ALTERATION OF YOUR CONTENT;
- ANY THIRD-PARTY CONDUCT ON THE SERVICE;

OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100), WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless MBSoft Systems LLC from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

You may cancel your account at any time through the dashboard or by contacting support@mbsoftsystems.com.
13.2 By Us
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in abusive behavior, or for any other reason with reasonable notice. In cases of severe violations, we may terminate immediately without notice.
13.3 Effect of Termination
Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We may delete your account data after a reasonable retention period. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including Sections 6, 10, 11, 12, and 15.
14. Modifications to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on the Service with a new “Last Updated” date. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
15. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
15.1 Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, without regard to conflict of law principles.
15.2 Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association, conducted in the State of Colorado. You agree to waive any right to a jury trial.
15.3 Class Action Waiver
You agree that any dispute resolution proceedings will be conducted only on an individual basis and not in a class, consolidated, or representative action.
